Meditative time lapse mosaic of the sky

is a time lapse study of the sky. Ken Murphy installed a camera on the roof of the Exploratorium museum in San Francisco captured an image of the sky every 10 seconds.

The following entertaining video is a mosaic of 360 time lapse movies, each showing a single day, are chronologically arranged and are synchronised by time of day, beginning before sunrise. Ken's specific intention was to reveal the patterns of light and weather over the course of a year.

The well chosen piece of music accompanying this video is Aerial by Moby.

Like in a dream II: Conceptual Landscape fractal animation

3D fractals and psychedelic neurones peppered with momentary optical illusions among many abstract and structurally possible conceptual landscapes, appear and fold in bib993's (Jeremie Brunet) 'Like in a dream II' fractal animation.

Jeremie made this gloriously entertaining and peaceful animation with Mandelbulb3D and "originally designed it for Bryan Alvarez from UC Berkeley, for a TEDx talk about his Human Atlas project, to illustrate his initial dream about the beauty of living systems."

This comprehensively profound piece of cool transcendent mathematical volumes is based on a hybrid Julia fractal, where most fractal parameters are simultaneously being animated, as well as the Julia seed, the colors, and the camera position. One can only imagine that in order to achieve this multi level animation complexity all at once might actually require something more than the average off the shelf computer ?

Nevertheless, the exquisite choice of music track, glides and enhances our experience of, Like in a dream II fractal animation.

For more details about 3D fractals and to download the Mandelbulb3D software, visit the fractal forums website, and or appreciate much more from this fractal artists work, go here.

Unreal entertaining Yoga break-dance

Usually when one thinks of yoga, we tend to think of intense meditative exercise, but Arthur Cadre in the video, by Alex Yde here reignites our imagination, by creating a groovy break-dance yoga routine that makes pure contortion look lame. The cool accompanying music track is Sail by Awolnation and the performance venue provides a sincere environment for us to appreciate this newish beautiful extreme sport !

Compressed 02, An Eerie media art composition

Kim Pimmel has created an ingenious motion graphic animation of soap bubbles being traced in with exotic ferrofluid liquid becoming attracted to an exotic spherical neodymium magnet.

Ferrous printer toner particles floating on the surface of water are attracted by the invisible forces of capillary action and magnetism around them, and the patterns and motions that result are strangely ordered and organized!

Kim achieved this by shooting some time lapse sequences with her Nikon D90, 60mm macro lens and custom built intervalometer, edited it with Adobe Premiere, and succinctly turned her video work into a groovy media art work by using a music composition application, Ableton Live.

Amazing continuous motion map of our Solar system

Here's an opportunity to explore the planetary orbital motions of our solar system in a live dynamic way. The interactive motion map can display either the Copernican or the Tychonian systems.

Up until approximately 100 years after Nicolaus Copernicus published his 'On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres' in 1543, every learned person in Europe knew one thing for absolutely certain: the sun and the planets travelled around the Earth. All astronomy texts said so. Tycho Brahe believed that the Sun and Moon and the stars revolve around the Earth, and the other five planets revolve around the Sun.

Dynamic Diagrams with free data source provided by NASA created an Orrery that illustrates the positions of the planets and moons in our solar system and allows a user to view their alignment at any given date in the past or present.

The default load of this interactive motion map displays the Copernican system and you can set any date, but you need to reload the page to watch the continuous animated motion of the planets and moons. This also applies each time you apply a change to the map.

Concept Airplane of the future from Airbus

has an interactive, virtual cabin with transparent walls. Can we wait until 2050 though which is when Airbus postulates this aircraft will come into service ?

Airbus is exploring ways of both enhancing users experiences and creating a more environmentally friendly vehicle. Among their hypothetical thinking is a transparent panoramic membrane roof enabling seeing both airspace above and below the seating and in natural light. Notwithstanding 'intelligent' cabin wall membranes and interactive games, but also a new aircraft structure would allow for walls which control air temperature.

Holographic pop-up gaming displays and in-flight virtual reality entertainment empowered  by the heat of passengers' bodies and interaction with aircraft cabin with the palm of your hand, where the aircraft recognises you and shows you to your seat and takes care of your luggage and passengers will be able to jack into the aircrafts communication system
where you will have the ability to change the size and feel of your chair.

Here now is a slick animation video with a groovy music sound track
