All you have to do is place a ball bearing in one of the cups and, when the BeatBearing scans across it, it'll produce a sound. The device emulates a set of drums and lets you create rhythms using a kick, snare, hi-hat and, yes, even a cowbell.<BR/><BR/>Peter Bennett is a PhD student at the Sonic Arts Research Centre at Queens University Belfast.
